Last week I shared how to create a Stamped Clay Heart for a necklace....

 

Here is another version...

This one is made the same way as the one last week, 

but I added a layer of Limelight Crafter's Ink lightly...

the texture of the pink stamped image still shows through

which is a cool effect!

Leave's for a Card with Makin's Clay

Stamping and Embossing Makin's Clay®

There are so many things you can do with Makin's Clay...it is a very versatile product and can be used in so many projects.

Today we are going to go through the steps to stamp and emboss on dry Makin's Clay®.

Supplies:
Makin's Clay®, Black
Makin's Clay® Roller
Ann Butler's˜ Crafter's Ink, Aquamarine
Colorbox® Embossing Powder, Clear
Unity Stamp Company, Itty Bitty Stamp, Just Be You
Heat Gun
Brush
Die Cutting Machine
Die of choice

Roll Clay very thin, let dry several hours.

Lay your die onto the dried clay, use die cutting machine following manufacturer's instruction to die cut.

Stamp saying onto the clay.

Sprinkle embossing powder onto saying, shake off excess powder.

Brush excess powder if it does not all shake off.

Heat set with the heat gun.  Do this step slowly and do not move clay during this step.

As you can see the embossing shows up in the color of the ink, as long as you use clear embossing powder.  Try this technique...it is quick and easy and has so many possibilities!

Makin's Clay® Bracelet

Makin's Clay is the perfect product to create stunning jewelry.....

 

 Ava Gavloski created the beautiful bracelet shown above and was featured in the British magazine called Scrap 365. The project combines Makin's Clay® in white, stamped with Ann Butler Designs Faux Quilting Stamps by Unity Stamp Company and cut with a Makin's Clay® square cutter.  Ann Butler Colorbox Crafters Ink by Clearsnap was used to color the clay. Core'dinations cardstock was used as a base and and May Arts Ribbon was used to put the bracelet together.

It is simply stunning.....thank you Ava for sharing this beautiful bracelet!

Springtime Necklace with Makin's® Clay

Makin's Clay is such a perfect medium for so many projects....it is so easy to use and is no bake!

Here is a necklace that is created so quickly and is perfect for spring....Roll our White Makin's® Clay to 1/4" thick, place a piece of plastic wrap over the clay and use the medium square cutter to cut out shape.  You will getr dozens of these from one package of clay.....let dry over night.

Color the top of the dome shaped squares with Ann Butler's Crafters Ink from Clearsnap, use a heat gun to dry.  Use night crafter's ink and assorted stamps to stamp over the colors.....heat set.  Mix a small amount of Earth Safe Finishes Eco Ecpoxy and place over the top....let dry.  Glue a bail onto the back and place onto a pre-done ribbon necklace.  So quick and easy and a perfect gift item or make one for yourself!
