Stamping and Embossing Makin's Clay®

There are so many things you can do with Makin's Clay...it is a very versatile product and can be used in so many projects.


Today we are going to go through the steps to stamp and emboss on dry Makin's Clay®.

Supplies:
Makin's Clay®, Black
Makin's Clay® Roller
Ann Butler's˜ Crafter's Ink, Aquamarine
Colorbox® Embossing Powder, Clear
Unity Stamp Company, Itty Bitty Stamp, Just Be You
Heat Gun
Brush
Die Cutting Machine
Die of choice

Roll Clay very thin, let dry several hours.

Lay your die onto the dried clay, use die cutting machine following manufacturer's instruction to die cut.

Stamp saying onto the clay.

Sprinkle embossing powder onto saying, shake off excess powder.

Brush excess powder if it does not all shake off.

Heat set with the heat gun.  Do this step slowly and do not move clay during this step.

As you can see the embossing shows up in the color of the ink, as long as you use clear embossing powder.  Try this technique...it is quick and easy and has so many possibilities!
