Summer Seashell ATC's by Martha Lucia Gomez

Summer Seashell ATC's
Designed by Martha Lucia Gomez
Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here with you. Today I want to share a collection of ATC, or Artistic Trading Cards, that I made using Summer as a theme. For these I created beautiful embellishments using White Makin's Clay®.

Product list:
Instructions:

The first step is creating the embellishments for your ATC's. For this take small amounts of white Makin's Clay® and smooth it with your hands. If you want you can do it with the roller too. Take the Sea Shells Push Mold and press the clay into the each design starting in the center and working toward the edges. Remove the excess clay and either gently bend your mold to lift your tools free while the clay is fresh, or let the clay dry in the mold then remove.

Remove them from the mold when the clay is fresh or when it has dried. The flexibility of the push mold allows you to remove them easily both ways.  When they are dry, sand or cut the excess of clay from the borders with scissors. Now it is time to give color to these. In this opportunity I used Iridescents Paints from Ann Butler Designs in six different colors. These paints dried very quickly and gave me a beautiful shine.

Now that my embellishments are ready is time to create the ATC's bases. For this I used a Very Vanilla card stock and Island Indigo Card stock. I stenciled the entire very vanilla layer using a medium size stencil called Enchanted Vine from Rebecca Baer Inc. with different colors of Fireworks from Imagine Crafts. Then I cut the very vanilla layer using THIS TEMPLATE and pasted over the card bases that I cut with the same template using Island Indigo Card Stock. To finalize the ATC's I stamped different sentiments from KellyCraft's™ Jimbo Lojik™ collection over the decorated layer and then pasted the embellishments using Beacon™ 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue.

This is a very simple idea that you can use as inspiration because we have a lot of molds to choose from, and you can create your ATC's with any other theme and make something special for your swaps or journals. I hope you are inspired with my tutorial and comeback soon to share with us!
Thank you for stopping by today!

See you soon, Martha Lucia
