LINTY STEAMPUNK OWL PENDANT
Designed by Patricia Krauchune
I was inspired by two techniques I found on the Makin's Clay® Tutorials & Techniques Pinterest board: adding dryer lint to polymer clay and the folded owl. The lint technique works great with Makin's Clay®.
DecoArt® Americana™ Triple Thick Gloss Glaze™
Krazy® Glue
Small piece of copper wire

Small piece of copper wire
Makin's Professional® Tools: (small sphere point, dartboard point, shading point)
Makin's® Cutting Mat
Makin's® Texture Sheet Set D (scales)
Instructions:
1. Mix equal parts of black and white Makin's Clay®.
2. Run clay through Makin's Professional® Ultimate Clay Machine® until you get a blended grey color. Next I added some dryer lint and continued to run through the clay machine until thoroughly incorporated into the clay.
3. Roll out some clay and using a circle cutter, cut out a circle. Burnish the scales texture sheet over half of the circle.

4. Fold the sides in, then the top to look like the
picture.
5. Use the Makin's Professional® tool with the dartboard point to form eyes, then use the small sphere point to recess the center. I added small watch parts for the eyes. I used the shading point to add a beak.
6. Next I added a watch stem and a small gear. Watch hands form the beak and eyebrows. A small piece of copper wire makes the bale, glued in with Krazy® Glue. This is the time you make the owl your own...I colored the owl with mica powders and finished it with the Americana Triple Thick Gloss Glaze™
7. So give a hoot and try Makin® an owl for yourself!
