We
have a cottage at the ocean...this brings the ocean home to me! See what you
can create with Makin's® Push Molds and have some fun.
Supply List:
Makin's Clay® White
|
Gorilla® Super Glue
|
Americana® Triple Thick
Glaze™
|
Decoart® Metallics®
Splendid Gold Paint
|
Swirly Head pin
|
Gear/ Gold Head pin
|
Decoart Metallic Lustre™
Gold Rush/Silver/Champagne Ice
|
Recommended Makin’s® Tools:
Makin's® Push Mold "Sea Shells" Makin's® Cutting Mat
Instructions:
Mix the Decoart® Metallics® Splendid Gold
acrylic paint in a zip lock bag with the white Makin's Clay®. Keep kneading the
bag until the paint is incorporated into the clay and you get the desired
color.
Using the Makin's® Sea Shells Push mold, push
the newly colored clay into the mold to make two starfish.
Put the two starfish together, back to back, to form a
starfish that looks the same front and back.
Fill in any gaps with fresh clay.
Now, using the Gorilla® Super Glue, push the swirly head pin into the top of the starfish. Then glue a gear in the middle using the Super Glue and the gold head pin.
I highlighted the starfish with Decoart Metallic Lustre™ in Gold Rush, Silver and Champagne Ice.
The starfish was then sealed with Americana® Triple Thick Glaze™ to make the starfish look wet.
A simple project that brings the sea to
you. Enjoy!
