Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with two Father's Day cards using a variety of Makin's Clay® products.
Supplies:
Makin's Clay® - Earth Tones
Makin's® Roller and Cutters Set
Makin's Professional® Cutting Mat
Makin's® Texture Sheets - Set D, Set F
So Suzy Stamps
StencilGirl Stencil
Instructions:
Begin by combining 2 colors of the Earth Tones clay. Continue working the clay until you achieve the color you are looking for.
Next, roll out the clay using the Makin's® Roller. Once rolled to the desired thickness, cut into tag shapes with the Makin's® Cutter.
Use Texture Sheets from Set D to create different effects on the clay tags. Cut small holes in the tops
and add string.
Create a card with assorted layers and add the tags as embellishments, placing a So Suzy sentiment atop the larger tag.
My next card uses the Gears Texture Sheet from Set F. Again, I rolled out the clay using the Makin's® Roller. Once the clay was thin enough, I placed it on the Gears Texture Sheet and ran it through my die cut machine. This really impressed the design into the clay. Carefully peel the clay off the Texture Sheet.
Using a StencilGirl gear stencil, ink a card with gears to coordinate with the clay panel. Add the clay panel to cardstock and adhere it to the card. Add some gems in the gears and place a So Suzy sentiment on top.
Clay adds no weight to your creates and holds it's shape once dry. It's perfect for creating embellishments as well as backgrounds.
