Dreams Do Come True Memory Frame by Martha Lucia Gomez

DREAMS DO COME TRUE
CLASSIC & ELEGANT MEMORY FRAME
By Martha Lucia Gomez

Hi everyone, Martha Lucia here to share with you my "Classic & Elegant" Memory Frame Kit. This is a wonderful present for this season because it is a turning frame with a double face, which can also be a shadow box for a special keepsake or momento, and you can decorate both sides if you want, which is just what I did.

Supplies:

Makin's Clay® Memory Frame Kit
Makin's Clay® Cutting Mat
Makin's Clay® Roller
Makins' Clay® Clay Push Mold - Floral
Makin's Professional® Ultimate Clay Machine®
Makin's Professional® Clay Tools®
Makins' Clay® Vineyard Tones
Makins' Clay® Clay Cutter Set - Flower
Beacon™ Quick Grip
Basic Black Cardstock
Dreams Stamp
Versamark embossing ink pad
Gold Embossing Powder
Heat Tool

Instructions:

Begin by combining Plum Wine or Merlot Makin's Clay® from the Vineyard  Tones set with the Natural color. Roll out to desired thickness using the Clay Roller and pass this through the Makin's Professional® Ultimate Clay Machine® setting in #3.

Once you have the desired thickness, cut out the flowers using Makin's® Clay flower cutters.

You can create the big leaves using the Floral Push Mold and Grape Leaf green Makin's Clay®. The small leaves can be cut out from the the petals of the flower cutters like I show on the next photo.

To assemble your flowers take from the Makin's Professional® Clay Tools®, the Spheres and Assembly Handle and create a hole on the center of each flower. This hole will help you to add the second color on the center and keep the layers in place.

Take a piece of basic black cardstock and stamp your sentiment with Versamark and gold embossing powder. Melt the powder with a heat tool. Trace a double circle around of your image with a pencil just to use as a reference, you will erase this after paste your flowers.
Insert the sheet of black paper on your frame and start to paste your
flowers over the paper using Beacon™ Quick Grip. When you finish, let it dry and remember to erase the circle that you traced with the pencil.

To decorate the other side, I just inserted the photo and decorated the corner with more flowers that I pasted directly over the acrylic.

The frame was assembled according to manufacturer instructions, although I chose to not use it as a shadowbox and place my photo and verse on the outside edges of the frame.  There is still space inside where I could store a special momento or keepsake.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial to create a classic & elegant Memory Frame because I know I enjoyed having you as a visitor. To see more of my projects visit my blog here. And I wish you a very happy season with your family and close friends.

Merry Christmas!
