Bacon & Eggs Bookmarks
Designed by Amanda Phillips
Inspired by a vintage article in the Omaha Herald, Design Team Member Amanda Phillips created this absolutely adorable "Bacon & Eggs" Bookmarks with Makin's Clay®!
Materials:
Makin's Clay® - Earth Tones, Primary, Terra Cotta
- Ultimate Clay Machine™
- Circle Cutter set
- Cutting mat
Yellow, ochre Golden paints (or Yellow & Straw clay)
Plastic wrap
Instructions:
Roll in Ultimate Clay Machine™, starting at setting #1 and go no higher than #3. My bacon ended up being about 9"long and I chose not to trim the ends.
For the egg I took 2/3 of the white pack from the 120g Primary package and haphazardly flattened it into a circle. I placed it in between clean plastic wrap and rolled it starting at the #1 setting going no higher than #3. This is really a personal choice.
Now take your circle cutter set out and choose the large or mid sized cutter..again this is preference. Cut your center. Take that piece of clay and mix with paint to the desired color for the yoke. If you have Straw or Yellow Makin's Clay®, these could be used here, I just recycled my clay. I love it and can't stand to waste even the smallest amount :0). Roll and then cut with same circle cutter. Insert yoke into egg white, smoothing edges to adhere clays together.
Let dry 24 hours and wha la - Bacon & Eggs Bookmarks!
