Altered Curtain Tassel by Carole Monahan

Fabulous for LESS
Home accents with Makin's Clay®
Designed By Carole Monahan

Supplies:

White tassel
Makin's Clay® I used Peach and Olive from the Earth Tones collection
Makin's Clay® Ultimate Clay Extruder™
Disc with 4 small holes from extruder kit
Tim Holtz Adirondack Ranger alcohol ink in latte
Beacon™ Tacky glue
Ribbon about 12 inches

Instructions:

Step 1 I got a plain white tassel from the dollar bins at a craft store. I used alcohol inks to color the tassel to match my curtains.  This was quick and easy, like the rest of the project.

Step 2 Extrude the 2 colors I selected Peach and Olive
From the Earth Tone collection of
Makin's Clay®.

Make sure to keep them covered with a damp paper towel so they are easier to work with and the clay doesn't begin to dry!

Step 3  Twist the 2 colors together

Step 4 lightly coat the top of the tassel with Beacon™ tacky glue. Then carefully wrap this around the top of the tassel.

Step 5 Thread the color coordinated ribbon on so you can add it to your curtains.

Step 6 Then step back and get ready to brag about your custom home décor accent that only cost a few cents!
