Sock Monkey Holiday Card & Makin's Clay® Ornament

This whimsical holiday card was created using JudiKins adorable Sock Monkey rubber stamp - a definite must have item for anyone whose heart sees the charm of these vintage cuddlies.  I used the leftover sock scraps after making the monkey and assorted black Blumenthal Lansing buttons to embellish the card.   The teal card stock was made by crumpling a piece of white card stock, unfolding, and then placing into Rit Dye.  Prismacolor watercolor pencils were used to color the stamped monkeys.  The front of the card features a removable sock monkey holiday ornament - made from an oval of natural colored Makin's Clay, rolled out to about 1/8" thick, stamped with the monkey image, and trimmed with more of the sock scraps. - Cindi

For this ornament you can create the fireplace larger 

if needed and add more stocking for a larger family,

or keep it this size for a family of four or less! 

Be sure to add the names 

of the family members onto each stocking,

either on the white part or the red stocking itself....

with a Black Fine Line Sharpie Marker. 

Then add the date at the bottom 

under the fire for a keepsake ornament.

Christmas Stocking Ornament with Makin's Clay®

Christmas is the perfect time to get out your Makin's Clay® 

and create some Christmas Ornaments....

This Christmas Stocking Ornament can easily be made 

with more or less stockings as needed 

for the family you are making it for.  

On the top white part of the stockings 

write out the names of the family members 

with a black fine line sharpie marker;

 and place the year onto one of the stockings.

Charity Wings Angel with Makin's Clay®

Here is an angel I created for Charity Wings using Makin's Clay® some wire and glitter.....

Supplies:

Makin's Clay®, White

Beacon Adhesives Tacky Glue

1 1/4" Sparkly Foam Ball, with stem

4" Wire Wing and Halo Set

Ultra Fine Glitter, Iridescent

Kreinik Metallic Thread

Tools:

Makin's Clay®, Roller, decorative scissor, paint brush

The dress and sleeves were created with Makin's Clay® in white....

after it was rolled out very thin I let it dry.

Then I cut of the edges with decorative scissors and formed the

shapes for the dress and sleeves.

I glued them together with Beacon Adheavies Tacky Glue

and added a sparkly foam head.

I glued the wings and halo to the back 

and added a bit of Kreinik Metallic Thread for the hanger.

I then thinned out some of the tacky glue with water,

brushed it onto the angel and applied ultra fine glitter....
