Metallic Leaf Necklace
This amazing piece was designed by Judy Belcher. I think it is a stunning example of the many aspects that make Makin’s Clay® perfect for jewelry. The hand crafted leaves are lightweight so the finished piece is not bulky to wear. Intricate veining is etched into each leaf. The clay dries flexible, so the possibility of pieces of the leaves breaking off are lessened. Makin’s Clay® takes a number of finishes beautifully - including iridesent metallic pigment powders like those used to add shimmer to these leaves. - Cindi Bisson

Sock Monkey Holiday Ornament & Card
This whimsical holiday card & ornament was created using Natural Makin's Clay® and JudiKins
adorable Sock Monkey rubber stamp - a definite must have item for
anyone whose heart sees the charm of these vintage cuddles. I used the
leftover sock scraps after making the monkey and assorted black Blumenthal Lansing
buttons to embellish the card. The teal card stock was made by
crumpling a piece of white card stock, unfolding, and then dying with Rit Dye. I do this every time I dye with the leftover dye
and now have quite a stash of colorful custom colored card stock. Prismacolor watercolor pencils were used to color the stamped monkeys. The front of the card features a removable sock monkey holiday ornament made of natural colored Makin's Clay®, stamped with the monkey image, and trimmed with more of the sock scraps. - Cindi Bisson

Mixed-Media Necklace - Makin's Clay + Wood Mounts = Unique Jewelry
I participated in a blog challenge where
we were asked to design something using the leftover wood mounts from
when you unmount stamps. The variety of ideas shared was amazing! I used tiny
wood mounts from a small set of alphabet stamps I unmounted for easier
use. For a full tutorial on how to create this necklace using
repurposed wood mounts and Makin's Clay® - click here:
